Deposit and Cancellation Policy Spring 2022
A new year, and while the world is opening up again slowly, there is still risk around COVID-19 and regulations that may disrupt travel or operations. We have deferred asking for the typical 25% deposit 9 months in advance, in favour of giving more time to see how everything develops. We have tried to clearly lay out our policy below for most eventualities.
Regardless of how open the world is, it is required that ALL guests and staff be fully vaccinated (at least 2 shots) at GP, and be able to prove their vaccination with official documentation from their home regions.
Full payment: Payments for your trip will be due 3 months prior to the trip start date. In addition to Interac e-Transfers and other bank transfers, we will also accept Visa and MasterCard (paid over the phone).
Our regular cancellation policy is in effect, except for if we are unable to operate due to COVID. The regular policy is that there is no refund or credit for cancellation at any time, however the dive spots are fully transferrable to another diver who has been approved by God’s Pocket.
If there is a COVID-related cancellation of the trip (meaning travel is officially blocked or we are forced to shut down operations prior to the trip starting due to the orders of British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer), we will refund any payments made after Jan 1, 2021 towards the Spring 2022 trip.
Any COVID-related credits from previously cancelled trips that were applied to the Spring 2022 trip will be honoured on a future trip. They will not be refunded.
Once a trip has commenced and guests are already at God’s Pocket, we will not be able to offer a refund if new orders are issued from the Provincial Health Officer that force us to end the trip.
We urge every guest to ensure they are very familiar with updated documentation and testing requirements for travel from their region to Canada, BC and Vancouver Island. As with all trips at any time or global context, we highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance, as well.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you again, and hope that all these COVID considerations will be moot as we keep moving forward!
All the best,
Team GP
